PREPARING FOR EASING OF LOCKDOWN RULES

Some Barry Island traders have started to prepare for the time when the Government review the Coronavirus Lockdown rules in Wales.

The first businesses to open are those who can offer take-away services. In fact these businesses were never forced by legislation to stop trading. They felt, however, that they had a social responsibility to close so as not to offer anything that might tempt the crowds of visitors we saw on the first weekend of lockdown….

BARRY; FIRST NIGHT OF LOCKDOWN

Last Saturday night was the first nights that all pubs, clubs and restaurants closed and the town in Barry were in Lockdown. The streets were was eerily quiet.

Check out the images taken Saturday night at 11pm. Broad street would normally be buzzing as people meet their friends, grab a take-away or move from the pub to the late night clubs.
