SEMI PERMANENT MAKE UP FOR EYEBROWS – A PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION

The model in this video is myself. The little natural hair I have left on my brows are fine, blond and the result of years of over-plucking. I have been trapped for years worrying about eyebrow make-up that won’t rub off or come off while bathing.

I hated the idea of the triangular slug type tattoos which I noticed also tend to discolour in the hot sun in Turkey. Too many make-up and tattoo artists create heavily define heavy, dark brows with an unnatural shape. This can look completely out of place when you want to use light makeup or be makeup free.

When Kim offered to do mine I was so very nervous but she was extremely patient, listened to exactly what I wanted, ensured she built them up in stages so that I could see the shape and colour.

In fact I had mine done over two sessions.

First Kim applied a base coat to shape and colour my brow.

One week later, Kim applied lines to my brow for hairs using the micro-blading technique.

How it all worked out for me

My eyebrows are as now as close to my natural brows before being damaged. I have light natural looking eyebrows which I can darken and fill with pencil on heavier make up for nights out. I can, of course, just leave them as they are for a more natural look. This is just how those blessed with great eyebrows manage them naturally.

The effect has exhilarating and has had such a positive impact on my confidence. I no longer have to travel everywhere with eyebrow pencils at the ready. I don’t have to worry about swimming and I am not afraid to go make-up free. This is fantastic.
