Kite Festival | Strong Breezes and Soaring Beyond The Clouds | Flying High in 2024
BEYOND THE CLOUDS KITE FESTIVAL - A celebration of Nature, Peace and Friendship. Check out the beautiful kites and see the fun so many families had together. The challenge for us was to capture the movement of these stunning kites in images and on video. We tried also to show the excitement the crowd had through the evening.
Now in its 14th year and a real feature of the Barry community calendar Art4U hosted Beyond the Clouds 2024 Kite Festival from 5.30 p.m. on Thursday June 20th. It was most certainly an evening of kites, art and fun for all ages.

KITE FESTIVAL | DIAMOND KITES WITH RAINBOWS
Some people refer to diamonds as “two-stick kites.” The two sticks are the vertical spar running from nose to tail and the horizontal or “cross” spar going side to side. Although not often seen now, the diamond kite design can be flown with a bowed cross spar.
BEYOND THE CLOUDS | DIAMOND KITES WITH UNICORNS
With its white horse-like body and single spiralling horn, the unicorn is a symbol of purity, innocence and power in Celtic mythology. Legend also tells that their horns can purify poisoned water, such is the strength of their healing power.
